Privacy notice

1. Scope and operator

ZeroLink operates from the United States. This notice covers free sharing and Secure Contact. Paid File Storage has its own privacy notice shown before purchase. No account is required to create a free share.

2. Encrypted content

The browser encrypts content before upload. We retain ciphertext, random identifiers, technical encryption details, sizes and expiry information needed to deliver shares. The decryption key is in the share link after # and is not sent to the sharing API. Anyone with the complete link can decrypt its content. Secure Contact messages use encrypted temporary pages.

3. Analytics and network information

We count page views, estimated visitors, countries, referring domains and shared data sizes in hourly aggregates retained for up to five years. IP addresses are briefly processed for country lookup and visitor estimates. Our analytics does not retain raw IP addresses, full referring URLs or browsing histories. These counts are estimates, not verified people.

Network requests expose connection information to our server and network providers. Rate limits help prevent spam and storage abuse without attaching an IP address to a share. DigitalOcean provides hosting. Operational systems and providers may process diagnostic or connection data. Browser encryption does not provide network anonymity.

4. Cookies and browser storage

ZeroLink does not set cookies or load advertising trackers. Your language choice is stored locally until you change it or clear site data. Share links and downloaded copies may remain on your device. The TrustedSite badge is an embedded image; displaying it makes no request to TrustedSite. Following its link opens an external service with its own privacy practices.

5. Retention and disclosures

Free shares expire after 24 hours by default, or 3 or 5 days if selected. Secure Contact pages expire after 5 days. Expiry disables access and scheduled cleanup removes expired content; outages can delay removal. Copies retained by recipients are outside our control. We may disclose information we hold when required by valid legal process or necessary to address abuse or security incidents.

6. Support and privacy requests

Contact ZeroLink at [email protected] for support or privacy requests. We process the information you choose to send to respond and resolve the issue, retaining it as needed for follow-up, disputes and legal obligations. Do not include complete share links or access codes. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information. We may need to verify your authority without disclosing someone else's information.

7. Updates

We publish changes to this notice with a revised date and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
