FILE STORAGE TERMS
Terms of service
Last updated October 21, 2026
1. About this service
ZeroLink operates this service from the United States. These terms describe the ZeroLink File Storage service at zerolink.io/file-storage, including its file-management, download and billing pages. They do not replace terms for other services. Read the Privacy notice for how this service handles information.
You must have the legal capacity and authority to use the service and authorize any subscription. Do not use the service where doing so would be unlawful.
2. Your files and permissions
You retain your rights to your files. You authorize ZeroLink to receive, store, transmit and delete encrypted uploads as needed to provide the service. Upload and share only material you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for the people with whom you share links.
Do not use the service for unlawful content, exploitation, distributing malware, violating another person’s rights, unauthorized access, or attempts to disrupt the service or evade its limits. Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security incidents or legal obligations.
3. Access codes and share links
No vault account is required. Your private access code manages your files and subscription, including deletion, plan changes and cancellation. Anyone who obtains it may perform those actions. Save it somewhere secure. To help keep this service secure and private, we do not provide access-code recovery or replacement. If you lose your access code, you must cancel your existing subscription and subscribe again to continue using vault management and uploads.
Because self-service cancellation requires your access code, contact [email protected] for help canceling a subscription when the code is lost. We may need to verify the billing transaction to identify the subscription. Cancellation assistance does not recover your code or provide access to your files. A new subscription creates a new vault and access code; it does not restore access to your previous vault. Starting a new subscription does not automatically cancel the old one.
Each upload produces a separate encrypted ZIP and share link. The complete link contains the key needed to decrypt that upload. Your access code does not recover a missing share-link key. Keep an independent copy of important files and save each link before starting another upload.
4. Storage plans and monthly billing
The displayed plans are 10 GB for $5 USD per month, 50 GB for $10 USD per month, and 100 GB for $15 USD per month. The app calculates these allowances using 1,024-based units. ZIP packaging, encryption overhead and unfinished uploads count toward usage. Uploads cannot exceed the available allowance or server capacity.
Paid subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. Stripe displays the amount and billing terms at checkout. Successful renewal payments extend storage access. Checkout clearly marked as test or sandbox mode creates test transactions only and does not collect real subscription payments. Do not enter a real card in test mode.
Plan changes take effect at the next successful renewal. A downgrade requires your usage to fit within the smaller allowance and limits new uploads to that allowance while the change is pending. Changing plans does not itself delete files.
5. Cancellation, expiry and refunds
Use Manage Billing with your access code to cancel automatic renewal. Cancellation preserves access through the paid-through date. If payment does not extend that date, file access stops. Encrypted uploads remain for a seven-day renewal window and become eligible for deletion by the cleanup job after that window. Renewal cannot restore files that have already been deleted.
Deleting files does not cancel your subscription. Canceling renewal does not automatically refund previous payments. For a refund request or an incorrect charge, contact [email protected] with the transaction reference and a description of the issue. Refund requests are reviewed individually; requesting a refund does not itself cancel renewal. Nothing in these terms excludes refund or cancellation rights that applicable law gives you.
6. Link expiry and deletion
You can choose a 24-hour link, a download-once link, or a link that lasts while the upload remains available in your vault. No link extends beyond the storage entitlement. Expiring or consuming a share link does not itself delete the stored upload.
Deleting an upload removes its entire encrypted ZIP from active storage, releases its allowance and disables its link. It does not remove copies already downloaded by recipients. A download-once link can be consumed when the server has delivered every encrypted chunk, even if the recipient then has a local saving or decryption problem.
7. Availability and device limits
Availability depends on network access, device capabilities, storage capacity and maintenance. The service is not a guaranteed backup or archival service. Downloads larger than 256 MB currently require desktop Chrome or Edge with direct file-saving support; mobile browsers are not supported for those downloads.
Encryption helps protect stored content, but does not protect against a compromised device, a stolen access code or share link, or every possible security failure. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
8. Updates and operator details
We may update these terms as the service changes. Updated terms will be posted on this page with the revised date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, those requirements apply. Contact ZeroLink at [email protected] for support, billing questions or refund requests. Do not send your access code, full share links or card details by email.
